Laser Plumbing Te Puke wins award at Tauranga Home Show

Last weekend, record numbers of people visited the Tauranga Home Show. The organisers, who have been calling it the “$10 million weekend” were happy with the 10 per cent increase in visitor numbers, according to organiser Graeme Martin.

Laser Plumbing Te Puke was very successful, and won the “Best Medium Sized Stand”. Maria Lockwood, from Laser Plumbing Te Puke, said “A lot of people were talking about the more contemporary looks for their wood fires, there was a lot of interest in our gas fires and we also had a Bosch 26E Hot water unit and the new Escea DX1500 gas fire on the stand which kept the reps very busy talking to customers and showing them the products.

Laser Plumbing Te Puke, managed to receive a lot of leads from the show. They had a booking sheet available which meant  customers could book in their jobs on the spot. Many people took advantage of this service and in the upcoming weeks Laser Plumbing Te Puke be will be busy installing products and providing local residents with the “Totally Dependable Laser Service”.

Although Laser Plumbing Taupo and Laser Electrical Taupo are individually owned and operated, they recently decided to open brand new showrooms side by side to increase business referrals and intensify the Laser Brand. Last week they celebrated their grand opening and Daniel Wilson (National Sales & Marketing Manager for Laser Group) attended the event. He commented on the huge amount of planning and work that had gone into the showrooms and the opening event. He was particularly excited to see two separate Laser members unite, to further promote the Laser Brand and its ‘totally dependable’ plumbing and electrical services. Brent & Megan Christie from Laser Plumbing and Electrical Ashburton, recently opted to invest and purchase some shares in the Laser Porsche. Last Wednesday night, they were delighted when Steve Richards made a lightning stop in Ashburton, during a break in his preparations, before racing at Ruapuna Park in Christchurch. The Melbourne-based driver happily signed autographs and posed for pictures with staff and clients.

As investors in the Porsche, Brent and Megan are now able to utilise a trip to Australia to watch the Carrera Cup series and experience the thrill of hot laps in the Laser Porsche. After careful consideration they have decided to offer the prize to a few of their team members, (even throwing in a wild card option). They hope this will increase team unity, create some healthy competition and help maintain employee retention, something Brent believes is key to moving forward.

Every week Laser Plumbing and Electrical Ashburton have a team meeting and highlight the team members who have provided a ‘totally dependable’ service. Whether they worked late to ensure a job was completed, provided exceptional customer service, or went above and beyond to solve a problem, each member gets recognised. Once all the nominations are received, each nominee will  fill in an application form and explain why they are most deserving of the prize.

Now is the time to be thinking about getting your house maintained in preparation for winter.  Dont wait until it gets cold and you have multiple problems on your hands.

With the rain on its way be sure to check that your downpipes and spouting aren’t blocked. Ideally these should be cleaned out at least once a year but ideally late autumn and late spring. Blocked spouting can cause water to come into the house. The backup of water from the blockage usually overflows into eaves and ceiling space causing a lot of damage to both inside and outside your home.

Likewise debris left to rot in gutters and downpipes can cause corrosion which can be expensive to repair or replace. Future proof this problem by having a leafguard fitted to the gutters to stop debris from settling.

The 2011 annual Laser conference was held in Darwin, Australia and with 178 Laser businesses throughout New Zealand and Australia vying for the award, competition was stiff.
